Police Investigate VCU Nurse After Viral Videos Urge Sabotage of ICE Agents

Virginia Commonwealth University Health and VCU Police are investigating a nurse after a series of viral TikTok videos in which she appears to encourage harmful tactics against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, the hospital system confirmed. The employee has been placed on administrative leave while the inquiry continues.

VCU Health said in a statement that it is “aware of a series of videos that appear to have been posted by an individual confirmed to be an employee of our health system,” adding that the content “is highly inappropriate and does not reflect the integrity or values of our health system.” Police are assisting with the investigation, and the individual will not be interacting with patients during the review.

The videos, which were widely shared online after being posted to TikTok and republished by social media accounts, show the nurse, identified through a now-deleted account, suggesting a range of disturbing “sabotage” tactics aimed at federal law enforcement. In one clip, she appears to advocate gathering syringes filled with saline or succinylcholine — a powerful medical paralytic — and using them as a perceived deterrent. In another, she discusses mixing poison ivy or oak in water to spray on agents’ faces and hands.

In a third video, she encourages people to use dating apps to meet ICE agents with the intent of drugging their drinks with laxatives. She described these actions as ways to “get them sick” or “make their lives miserable,” framing them as “resistance tips” without acknowledging legal consequences.

VCU Health’s statement did not name the nurse, but local media reports identify her as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist employed by the system. Hospital officials stressed that the investigation is ongoing and that appropriate action will be taken based on its outcome.

The post quickly drew national attention and widespread condemnation. Experts note that encouraging or planning harm against federal officers, including poisoning or physical interference, can carry serious criminal penalties under both state and federal law.

The situation adds to broader tensions around federal immigration enforcement, particularly as protests and debates over ICE operations continue in cities such as Minneapolis. Amid high-profile clashes between law enforcement agencies and demonstrators in recent weeks, calls for accountability and public safety have intensified across political and community lines.

VCU Health did not immediately respond to requests for further comment on the investigation or potential disciplinary actions. Authorities have not released information about any charges or whether criminal prosecution is being considered.
